Curtilage Listed Barns near Tytherton, Chippenham

These curtilage Listed buildings formed part of the greater farmhouse complex, the farmhouse itself being a Grade II Listed Building.

The U shaped range of open cow byres with open courtyard were a obvious choice for conversion, however their sub-division into 3 units was not so easy. Long corridors and dead space has been designed out and private garden areas formed opening out into the courtyard.

The units have been distanced from the Listed Building by a new access further away, this required a driveway link into the courtyard so a gabled feature entrance was designed for this.

Hardwood purpose designed and made doors and windows have been used throughout, with few new opening in existing walls created.
